Fiat cement another contract with Cumberland Building Society
Fiat’s industry-leading green credentials have enabled the Cumberland Building Society to appoint the Italian car manufacturer as sole provider of its branch managers’ company cars for a further year. The 12-year relationship between Fiat and the Cumberland Building Society continues on a firm footing, with the Building Society taking delivery of another six diesel Fiat Bravo 1.6 MultiJet or Grande Punto 1.3 MultiJet models in 2008.
“It’s great that we don’t have to sacrifice our favourite cars to meet our in-house environmental targets,” explains Judi Thomson, Assistant Secretary of the Cumberland Building Society.
“We have remained faithful to Fiat for all these years because the vehicles have always proved economical and reliable. Low CO2 emissions make them even more ideal as company cars.
“County Motors has also played a vital role in our continuing relationship with Fiat cars,” Judi continues. “The support and high level of service we receive from them is second to none.”
The company currently has 38 Fiat cars on its fleet, purchased outright from Fiat dealership, Country Motors in Carlisle, and replaced after 4 years/65,000 miles. The cars are used by Estate Agents and Building Society managers operating across Cumbria, North Lancashire and SW Scotland.
The new Fiat Bravo 1.6 MultiJet and Grande Punto 1.3 MultiJet diesel models both offer fuel economy of up to 62.7mpg on the combined cycle, and low CO2 emissions starting at an impressive 119g/km.
