House hunters in Romford were treated to a preview of one of Persimmon Homes’ latest developments when they were invited to find out about a purchasing a new home ahead of the site’s general release.

Representatives from Persimmon Homes Essex welcomed 32 potential home owners to the launch event for Neave Place on Noak Hill Road, Havering, following an exceptionally high level of interest and advance enquiries.

Four properties were sold during the two-day event including two under the Government-backed NewBuy scheme which makes home ownership possible with just a five per cent deposit.

Persimmon Homes Essex sales director, Norman Sharpe, says the individual appointments enabled buyers to find out more about the properties available and the range of incentives and purchase schemes that could help them own their first home or take their next step on the property ladder.

Norman comments: “We organised the launch weekend in response to the huge number of online and telephone enquires we have received for properties at Neave Place.

“With such high demand we wanted to offer people the chance to find out more about the properties, including being able to make a reservation, before the sales office opens and properties go on general release to the public.”

An independent mortgage advisor also attended helping potential buyers to be aware of all of the options available to them when purchasing a new house, including the Government backed NewBuy scheme.

Norman continues: “NewBuy makes it possible to purchase a new home with just five per cent deposit. This attractive mortgage option makes home ownership available to those who would have previously been unable to obtain a mortgage with a high deposit required.

NewBuy is backed by a number of major house builders and national mortgage lenders and aims to increase the availability of low-deposit mortgages. With no salary cap, purchasers can secure a 95 per cent mortgage product on new homes up to the value of £500,000.

“Neave Place is ideal for first time buyers and families looking to make their next step up the housing ladder. Properties start from £170,000 for a two bedroom apartment and £235,000 for a three bedroom house,” Norman concluded.

Despite being less than four miles from the centre of Romford, Neave Place enjoys a country setting and is conveniently located for easy access to parks and woodland including Havering Country Park. The development is also ideal for commuters being close to the A12 and A127 providing access into east London and Essex and is just three miles from the M25.

The range of accommodation has been carefully considered and includes one and two bedroom apartments as well as two, three and four bedroom houses.
