The popular sitcom ‘Friends’ perfectly depicted how important it is to have your pals close by, so when three couples from Stamford decided to set up home just a stone’s throw away from each other, it confirmed the importance of friendship.

Aaron Lord, 29, and Amy Thompson, 25, decided to turn their backs on rented accommodation and move out of the family home and instead invest in bricks and mortar together, so set about finding a place of their own.

They discovered Jelson Homes’ Casterton Heights development in Stamford after chatting to their friends, Darran Brindley and Harriet Young, as well as doing their own research to see whether it would be the place for them to set up home.

“After having the endorsement from friends and visiting the site, we immediately liked the look and feel of the development and there were a good range of different house types to choose from that were within budget,” comments Aaron.

After looking at the specification of a number of different properties, they eventually agreed on a three-bedroom detached Linnet home, which features a dual aspect lounge, cloakroom and separate kitchen on the ground floor and three bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs, with the master benefiting from an en suite bathroom. Plus, it was, importantly, just across the road from their friends.

And like all good news, word travels fast and soon after completing their sale, another set of friends moved in to Casterton Heights, just around the corner!

Amy comments: “It’s great that we are all so close by and we feel like we have a great community around us, yet is still private when we want time to ourselves. What further convinced us to buy here was its proximity to the town centre and commuting distance to and from work for work for both of us.”

Aaron concludes: “Buying with Jelson Homes has been so easy for us: the sales staff were on hand for any queries which we had throughout the buying process – they made the whole thing stress-free. Now, we are just concentrating on enjoying our new home, with our pals close by.”

The location of Casterton Heights is second to none. It’s close to Stamford’s historic town centre, with its high-street shops, independent boutiques and welcoming pubs and restaurants. There’s a good range of schools in the area, and travel links are excellent, with the A1 nearby and direct rail services to Peterborough.

Prices currently range from £144,950 to £339,950. To find out more about the homes available, visit jelson.co.uk.
