Taylor Wimpey announces expansion plans

Taylor Wimpey has announced the exchange of contracts on three new sites across the South West region, with work planned in to begin in 2013. The leading home builder has also received planning permission for a fourth development where work will commence this year.

The first land acquired is for a development in Collaton St Mary, where Taylor Wimpey plans to build 197 two, three and four bedroom homes.

The company has also acquired land for a development of 90 properties at St Aubyn Park, in Mabe. The site will be a mix of two, three and four bedroom houses. Taylor Wimpey will also include provision for public open space and education facilities for the benefit of the local community.

Finally, a new development is planned for land secured in Paignton. Alfriston Park will consist of a total of 98 homes with a selection of two bedroom apartments and coach houses and a number of three and four bedroom homes.

The house builder has also just secured planning permission on Drovers Way in St Agnes, which will launch in December. The development boasts a collection of 74 three and four bedroom homes, plus shared public open space.
