Last chance to buy at Park View, Longbridge

St. Modwen Homes is encouraging househunters in the Birmingham area to view the last few remaining homes at its Park View development in Longbridge before it’s too late.
Following a flurry of sales, nearly 95 per cent of homes have now been sold at Park View and with just six properties left to sell it, it won’t be long before St. Modwen Homes has sold out at the scheme.
Built on the former general management office of MG Rover, the regeneration project has remained popular with past workers at the factory – which closed its doors in 2005 – and those people living in the local area. The success of the scheme has far surpassed the aims first outlined by St. Modwen Homes.
All six remaining homes are four bedroom properties, varying in design between the Rednal two storey house and the Bilberry three storey townhouse. Both designs are aimed at families and those moving up the property ladder who wish to live in a contemporary, well-built property.
Neil Simpson, sales and marketing director at St. Modwen Homes said: “Park View is a stunning new-build development that has completely transformed an area that was previously hit with unemployment.
“To have experienced such fantastic sales success is wonderful at any housing scheme but to have a site that is so popular with people who used to work in the factory here and who have seen their local area go through so much change in the past five years is incredibly rewarding.
“Much of the site’s success is down to the schemes we have launched which help local people move onto or up the property ladder. These initiatives include our shared equity scheme, FirstStep, five per cent deposits and our brand new Premier Move scheme which helps purchasers sell their current home.
“With just six homes left to sell, and interest in more than half of these properties already, it won’t be long before we have sold out of all the homes at the site.”
Offering a spacious place to live, the Rednal and Bilberry houses boast high ceilings and larger than average windows, flooding the rooms with natural light. Being a three storey townhouse, the Bilberry gives purchasers extra space for a growing family with three double bedrooms and an additional single bedroom. On the ground floor a designer kitchen with contemporary breakfast bar leads into an open-plan living and dining area, with French doors opening out to a rear turfed garden. The house also boasts another living room on the second floor, giving parents a place to relax.
Similarly the Rednal property – of which just three remain – has constantly remained a popular choice at the development, with many praising the traditional feel of the home.
Park View was St. Modwen Homes’ first residential site in the UK and its success has led the Birmingham based developer to acquire further sites across the country, including Locking Parklands near Weston-super-Mare, Wembley Central in London and Littlecombe in Dursley, Worcestershire.
