TD clients take a bite into Apple
Stuart Welch, CEO, TD Direct Investing comments: "It's been an interesting week for NASDAQ TMT shares with Virgin Media (VMED), Ericsson (ERIC) and Apple (APPL) all reporting. Apple, which announces its Q4 results today, appears to be a particular favourite for TD clients, with the stock appearing in the number one spot on the weekly top ten international buys and sells every week since 10 September 2012.
"The iPhone maker announced earlier this week that it had refreshed or renewed every product in its range over the past seven months and has now launched an iPad mini to compete with Amazon's Kindle and other small tablets. With our clients continuing to show interest in the stock, Apple has comprised nearly a third of all top ten international buy and sell trades (31%) in the run up to this week's news (25 September-22 October)."
