Local housebuilder Morris Homes is offering an affordable solution to first-time buyers looking to get onto the property ladder in Bilston.

A recent report has showed that first-time buyers will have to save for more than eight years on average to have the deposit needed to purchase their first home, but Morris can speed up the process of homeownership at its popular Claremont site on Wellington Road.

The Government-led NewBuy scheme, allows first-time buyers to apply for a 95 per cent mortgage on selected new build properties, significantly lowering the deposit needed to take the first step onto the property ladder.

Cindy Vials, regional sales director at Morris, said: “It is a difficult time for first-time buyers as they struggle to save for large deposits, while at the same time still finding the money needed for everyday living costs and in some cases rising rent prices. The NewBuy scheme offers a helping hand to househunters with a quicker, more affordable route into home ownership.”

Claremont is conveniently located within two miles of Wolverhampton City Centre, and easy access to the motorway makes it perfect for commuting to Birmingham.

Cindy added: “Claremont is a unique development which is popular with buyers due to the distinctive properties available and the fantastic location which is ideal for commuters. The site features a large shared outdoor space and has good local amenities nearby.”

Morris currently has a selection of one and two-bedroom properties available at Claremont starting from £89,750 with the NewBuy scheme.

For more information about the schemes and properties available at Claremont visit the sales office at Wellington Road, WV14 6DA (Open Thursday to Monday 10.30am to 5.30pm), or visit morrishomes.co.uk.
