As reigning Spanish champions, Real Madrid deserves its place among Europe's footballing elite and children have the chance to kick off 2013 in style by learning the secrets of Spain's most successful club side at the La Manga Club resort.

Taking place from January 2-5, the Real Madrid Soccer Camp will give budding stars of the future the opportunity to emulate the skills of players such as ex-Premier League aces Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Xabi Alonso, and is open to girls and boys between the ages of seven and 17.

Real Madrid has won a record 32 La Liga titles during its illustrious history while the club has been crowned champions of Europe nine times - also a record.

Each day of the camp will include three hours' training from the Real Madrid Foundation's official coaches, recreational activities and lunch. In addition, those taking part will also receive a diploma for their attendance and training kit.

Prices start at €390 (£325 approx) per person for the four-day training programme, while children can attend the soccer camp on an individual basis including a week's full board accommodation in the resort's four-star Las Lomas Village for €735 (£610 approx) per person.

The camp follows the success of Real Madrid's inaugural junior soccer school at La Manga Club in July and joins the line-up of other junior tuition packages crafted by elite sports stars and clubs at the resort including the Lee Westwood Golf Academy, Daley Thompson Athletics Academy and Michael Owen Rugby Academy.

La Manga Club boasts eight international-standard grass pitches and, during the first three months of last year alone, some 82 different teams stayed at the five-star resort to play and train.

Liverpool, Celtic, Wigan Athletic, Southampton and numerous international sides are among those to have used La Manga Club's outstanding football facilities and accommodation in recent years, while Borussia Dortmund and Moscow sides, CSKA and Lokomotiv, are all booked to visit in January.

In addition a 28-court tennis centre, three championship golf courses and a 2,000sqm spa and fitness centre are among the leisure amenities, ensuring there is plenty for players and their families to enjoy away from the pitch.

La Manga Club boasts unrivalled facilities as a sport and leisure venue with the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses, more than 20 bars and restaurants and is great fun for children.
