With only a dozen homes yet to be sold, buyers must hurry if they want to purchase one of the final properties at Wheatley Chase in Halifax.

Timing is particularly crucial as Amy Gooder, who had a phenomenal sales rate at the development last year, has returned to sell the remaining homes.

Redrow sales consultant Amy said: “In the early part of 2011 I sold on average a home a week at Wheatley Chase before being moved to other Redrow sites across the region. Now that I’m back it’s great to see how the development has taken shape. Most of the homes are nearly build-complete and they really do look lovely. Their stone finishes mean they really fit in with the area. They’re ideal for those who want a home that looks traditional, but doesn’t need the repairs or maintenance that an older property is likely to need.”

Despite the limited availability, there’s still plenty of choice at Wheatley Chase. The final phase includes two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom semi-detached homes and four-bedroom detached properties.

Prices range from £93,950 to £189,950.

Incentives are available to get people moving including 95% mortgages through the NewBuy initiative and part exchange to help homeowners climb the property ladder.

“Moving doesn’t have to be stressful,” Amy said. “My job is to make it as simple and straight forward as possible for customers and that includes explaining the incentives we have to offer. Buyers may find they’re able to buy sooner rather than later thanks to NewBuy as they should only need a relatively small deposit of around 5% of the purchase price.”

Among the final homes is the three-bedroom, three-storey Kenilworth, available from £166,950.

On the ground floor there’s a combined kitchen and dining room to the front, spacious lounge with patio doors to the rear garden, a laundry and WC.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms, the family bathroom and a study, with the master bedroom and en-suite on the top floor.

“Those with young children may decide to use the study as a toy room or buyers with a teenage daughter may choose to utilise the space as a dressing room,” Amy suggested.

Located in Keighley Road, the homes at Wheatley Chase are only a mile from Halifax town centre. The area boasts good local amenities including a supermarket, post office and doctors’ surgery and is well served by schools.

To be in with a chance of securing one of the final homes at Wheatley Chase, visit the sales office, open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
