Art lovers have the chance to grab themselves some of the world’s finest urban pieces, including a unique silkscreen by the king of modern art, Andy Warhol, valued at £50,000 - £70,000, at the last ever Dreweatts Urban Art sale this winter.

Taking place at Dreweatts’ Maddox Street (Mayfair) salerooms in London at 4:00 pm on Tuesday 11 December, the sale presents 104 lots from renowned artists including Banksy, Damien Hirst, Charming Baker, Andy Warhol, D*Face and Shepard Fairey. Of these, 18 lots have been created especially by artists for the ‘Art for Africa’ project which will raise money for Malawi charity, Temwa,

Mary McCarthy, Director of Urban and Contemporary Art at Dreweatts, comments: “This is the final ever Dreweatts Urban Art sale so we are really going out with a bang. With an impressive collection of work including a total of 15 Banksy’s and a self-portrait by cult artist Andy Warhol, the auction presents an unmissable opportunity for art fans to own their own urban classic. Collectors or first time buyers can also do their bit to help by bidding on the outstanding pieces in the Art for Africa section. Every penny from the proceeds of the sale goes directly to the charity for the benefit of profoundly vulnerable people in the rural areas of northern Malawi.”

Previews are taking place from 11.00am on Sunday 9 December, 9.30am on Monday 10 December and 9.30am on Tuesday 11 December, prior to the auction. A charity reception hosted by Temwa is taking place at 18.00 on Monday 10 December.
