Final three homes at popular Bristol development

6th December 2012 Print

There are just three homes remaining for sale at Elan’s sought-after Mortimer Gardens development, part of the new Cheswick Village in Filton.

The final trio of properties are all elegantly designed four-bedroom townhouses, inspired by time honoured Victorian architecture.

Among them is a former view home, which comes complete with carpets and light fittings included, making it the perfect choice for those who want to move in straight away without lifting a finger.

Andrea Nippe, sales director at Elan’s Southern region, said: “Mortimer Gardens has proved to be a very successful development. It combines an appealing location, within the context of a beautiful new village setting, with close proximity to the city centre. We’re delighted to offer our final three homes for sale here and would urge home buyers to act quickly before the development sells out.”

Each townhouse has been built with the environment in mind; with solar panels, energy-efficient light fittings, rainwater butts and compost bins.

Designed over three floors, the properties provide the perfect layout for families who want to spend time together in the generous living space, but also have the option of spreading out.

Behind its attractive exterior, the Wallscourt design for example, offers a flexible living space. On the ground floor there is an open-plan kitchen and family room with French doors leading out to the rear garden plus a fourth bedroom that also could also be ideal as a study. On the first floor there is a large lounge with a delightful Juliette balcony as well as a double bedroom and a family bathroom. The top floor houses a master bedroom with en-suite and a further double bedroom.

The development is close to Bristol city centre with its blend of modern shopping and maritime history, arts and culture, but the private neighbourhood of Mortimer Gardens feels a world away from city life. A bustling high street will eventually run through the development’s centre so residents can look forward to having a host of shops and amenities on their doorstep.

Commuters will appreciate being a short drive from motorway network, and close to Bristol Parkway railway station, with direct rail links to the city and beyond. The major employment hubs of the University of the West of England and the MoD’s Abbey Wood site are close by and the location is ideal for their employees plus many other who work in the city or nearby towns.

Prices on the final three homes are from £235,995 to £244,995.

The ElanBuy scheme offers customers the chance to take out an interest-free 10 year loan for up to 15% of the price on selected properties, and they will still own 100% of their home.

Available on the remaining homes at Mortimer Gardens, it means purchasers should only need a deposit of around 5% to secure a new home.

Andrea added: “ElanBuy is a great deal and exceptional value. It compares favourably against other schemes as the loan is interest free for up to 10 years, while those who buy with the Government-backed FirstBuy scheme will have to pay interest after only five years.

“And when it comes to repaying the loan you can rest assured that even if the value of the property increases, it won’t affect how much you have to pay back, unlike other schemes.”
