Four long hair

7th December 2012 Print

It seems the whole female population is growing their hair, so make sure you're not left behind in the style stakes. Trends on how to wear long hair come and go... but the rule this season is to keep the hair well-trimmed, keeping the ends strong and blunt, well-conditioned - and coloured! A retro vintage wave can be achieved on naturally straight hair by using a good styling product and big rollers (yes, rollers are back!). If you want your long hair to have versatility, like the lovely actress Natascha McElhone, opt for hidden layering technique so that hair can be flat ironed straight and sleek or given a sexy tousled feel depending on your mood. Amber Le Bon, the beautiful model daughter of Yasmin rocks long hair really well and in the salon we use our Long Hair Treatment on her to keep it well conditioned and split-end free.

Long hair has its own unique issues and so we have introduced our Long Hair Energizing Remedy. Incorporating La Biosthetique's product for long hair, this treatment gives the most amazing results and is extremely versatile. It puts elasticity back into the hair allowing clients to wear their hair longer without causing damage. Colour too is given an amazing finish whether hair is dark or blonde. Each treatment pack contains ten ampoules, the first treatment is carried out in the salon - and can be followed by a clear vegetable shine to give an incredible high tempo mirrored sheen to the hair. The client then takes the remaining ampoules home to continue the treatment.

Where long hair is concerned, the blow dry is important. It is not good enough to just let long hair loose to dry on its own, so if you don't know how, ask your stylist to show you some long hair blow dry techniques. The stylists at FOUR London always spend an additional 10 minutes with their clients to show them how to blow dry their own hair at home. A good hairdryer with a nozzle attachment is essential and a brush with natural bristles (not metal spikes!) should be used to give the hair a sleek, silky finish. Regular trims to discard split and dry ends is a must.

To keep your long hair flowing and glowing, Four London recommends:

La Biosthetique Organic Masque Vital for Damaged Hair, La Biosthetique Instant Detangler, La Biosthetique Volume Crème Shampoo Plus and La Biosthetique Conditioner Douceur for extreme shine.
