C-Class is top contract hire car
The Mercedes C-Class was the most searched-for contract hire car of 2012 according to data released by the UK’s biggest car and van leasing website.
During 2012, the Mercedes C-Class attracted the most interest from both business and personal contract hire customers, topping search results for the year.
Further down the list of the Top Ten most searched for cars on ContractHireAndLeasing.com -the UK’s leading marketplace for leasing deals- there were some interesting differences between the most popular models for businesses and those popular with personal leasing customers.
Following the C-Class, business lease customers’ second most-searched for car of 2012, was Land Rover’s highly-acclaimed, new baby, the Range Rover Evoque, followed by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
But on the personal leasing pages, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was the second favourite, followed by the BMW 3 Series.
As the website releases its most popular models of the last year, the website’s marketing manager, Richard Lawton reveals what he thinks will be the big trend for 2013.
“With a new facelifted E-Class out now, a new generation Volkswagen Golf now making deliveries and a BMW 4 Series out soon, we expect that these models will have a big impact on the market through 2013. Expect to see the continued success of the Range Rover Evoque too, which is proving to be a big hit with business and personal customers,” says Lawton.
“Although the UK car market remains down on pre-recession highs, we expect that 2013 to show further signs of recovery, with leasing, of course, an affordable way for motorists toget the car they really want; with monthly payments typically lower than with a purchase finance agreement,” he adds.
