Volvo pride returns to Rockingham in 2013

Following two successful events in 2012, Rockingham has announced Volvo Pride will be returning to the Northamptonshire venue twice this year.
 
The annual Volvo Pride is organised by the manufacturer to provide new employees with the full Volvo experience, from briefings on the company’s values and brand identity to driving activities designed to showcase the capabilities of its diverse range of vehicles.
 
All 11 models from Volvo’s range will attend the events in April and October, with everything from the marque’s entry level C30 right up to the flagship XC90 in action on Rockingham’s off road, wet grip and track facilities.
 
The event has been held at Rockingham for the last six years, and last year’s Volvo Pride was hailed the best ever. The event includes a brand presentation in Rockingham’s trackside indoor conference centre, as well as driving activities, which focus on the company’s core values of quality, safety and environmental responsibility.
 
Chief Executive of Rockingham, Charlotte Orton said: “Since 2005, we have established an excellent working partnership with Volvo, which continues to go from strength-to-strength. Over the years we’ve staged product launches, aftersales events and conferences, as well as Volvo Pride. We’re delighted to be welcoming Volvo back again and look forward to a busy 2013.”
 
Up to 100 people a day visit Rockingham to take part in Volvo Prideusing a broad cross-section of the circuit’s facilities, including the wet grip area to demonstrate the dynamic stability and traction control systems of its current vehicle line up.
