The feel good factor at Graylingwell Park

Graylingwell Park in Chichester is proving it has the feel good factor with around 20 people in the medical profession having already chosen to set up home at the award-winning scheme.

The largest carbon neutral development in the UK is a partnership between Linden Homes, Affinity Sutton and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Investors may want to investigate the ‘medical’ interest too as five of the 20 have opted to rent rather than buy and given the development’s close proximity to St Richard’s Hospital, it’s likely to be a trend that continues.

Natalie Flint, sales director of Linden Homes Guildford, says: “The people buying vary from nurses and doctors to medical sales representatives. With such a hectic profession, Graylingwell Park provides a perfect haven to come home to; whether you want to relax at home, take a stroll around the 85 acres of stunning parkland or easily pop into town.”

Around half of the ‘medical’ purchasers have chosen to buy through shared ownership. Yvette Ruggins, sales director at Affinity Sutton, explains: “Shared ownership is an affordable way to get onto the property ladder and it’s well documented that many professionals within the medical industry are not paid enough to take the step onto the ladder without assistance, so being able to buy a share of your home can work out much more affordable – and for many people, it’s their only route into home ownership.”

Graylingwell Park has environmental sustainability and community at its heart, with high quality, energy-efficient homes set in glorious surroundings, yet it’s less than a mile from Chichester’s historic city centre.

A new community garden has recently opened for residents to grow their own fruit and vegetables, with everyone who takes part benefiting from the produce. There will also be an orchard, farm shop and community hall.

Graylingwell Park is perfectly located; while it is surrounded by glorious green parkland, it is just a short walk to St Richard’s Hospital and less than a mile from Chichester’s historic city centre which offers a comprehensive range of shops, bars and restaurants. Reaching the coast is easy too, with the stunning beach of West Wittering around ten miles away.
