The offer of 95% mortgages means buyers could find the final homes at Wheatley Chase are within their reach, even if they don’t have a large deposit or substantial equity in the property they’re moving from.

There are now fewer than 10 properties available at the popular Redrow development in Keighley Road in Halifax. It means time is of the essence for those who want to call Wheatley Chase ‘home’.

But the good news is that help is available to help get people moving. Among the incentives on offer is NewBuy, a Government-backed scheme that enables people to purchase a brand new home with a 5% deposit and 95% mortgage.

Thanks to NewBuy, a deposit of around £8,000 could be enough to secure a three-bedroom Kenilworth style property priced at £157,950.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), commented: “NewBuy is a great way for first time buyers to get onto the property ladder. It could enable them to afford a larger home than if they were to buy on the open market as they should only need a relatively small deposit of around 5%, compared with the 20% most lenders require.

“It’s also ideal for second steppers who want and need somewhere larger to start a family but perhaps don’t have substantial equity in the home they’re moving from.”

Set out over three floors to maximise the potential of the space available, the Kenilworth is equally well suited to families and first time buyers.

On the ground floor, there’s an open plan kitchen and dining room with a separate lounge plus a utility and a cloakroom.

On the first floor are two bedrooms, the family bathroom and a study, which could also be used as toy room or walk in wardrobe depending on the buyer’s needs.

The crowning glory of the property is the master bedroom, complete with en-suite. Located on the top floor it offers parents a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of family living or could be used a guest suite.

Other properties available include two-bedroom apartments and more traditional three-bedroom homes set out over two floors.

Located in Keighley Road, the homes at Wheatley Chase are only a mile from Halifax town centre. The area boasts good local amenities including a supermarket, post office and doctors’ surgery and is well served by schools.

To discover more about the homes and the help available, visit Wheatley Chase where the sales office is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
