Springtime in the New Forest

19th February 2013 Print

The New Forest is a genuine four-season destination but for many people spring is the most special. As winter gradually disappears from view and the temperature starts to climb, carpets of bluebells, bright yellow daffodils and many other wild flowers begin to appear, heralding the arrival of spring.

The famous New Forest ponies, wandering free for 900 years only add to the picture postcard scene.

The perfect place to stay is Little Paddock which has a choice of accommodation; either in its 9, extraordinary, Scandinavian-style wooden lodges for those looking for romantic seclusion, or in one of the 3 delightful B&B rooms in owners Sue & Brett Jones’s main bungalow, each individually decorated and with private entrances. The AA has just awarded the B&B a 4 Star Gold Award and a Breakfast Award.

Each lodge is designed for just two people, and the complex is ‘exclusively for adults’ making it the perfect place for a peaceful, romantic break, even during the school holidays.

The complex also has an alcohol licence and Sue and Brett can provide romantic meals through a local farm shop on request at a supplement.

Little Paddock has 2 hot tubs and a tennis court and forest walks can be enjoyed direct from the back gate, leaving the car behind.

The lodges are ideally located with the New Forest villages just a short drive away with Ringwood, Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Southampton, Salisbury and Portsmouth all within easy reach

For the months of March and April (excepting Easter dates) Little Paddock is offering 5 nights for the price of 4 in a lodge, from £140 pp, or 4 nights for the price of 3 in the B&B - from £120 pp.
