Honda serves up tasty tax morsel at Silverstone Fleet Show
Honda’s corporate sales team is serving up a tasty way to tackle the issue of fleet taxation at this year’s Fleet World Fleet Show with a pre-show breakfast briefing from a leading tax expert.
Taking place before the Silverstone Show on 24 April, the breakfast briefing will confront a variety of tax issues, including the forthcoming changes in this year’s Budget Statement.
The Honda team will be inviting up to 50 selected guests – including fleet decision-makers and leasing company executives – to join them for a 20-minute presentation by business finance expert David Rawlings, followed by a full English breakfast.
“It’s the perfect way for these lucky guests to start their day,” said Fleet Show organiser and managing editor of Fleet World, Ross Durkin.
“David Rawlings combines a firm grasp of the key financial issues facing fleets, with the ability to communicate his points clearly and concisely. He will be covering a number of Budget-related issues alongside other financial matters that will have a bearing on fleets in 2013 and beyond.”
In addition, Honda will be offering visitors the chance to test drive the recently launched Civic 1.6-litre i-DTEC model, which delivers 94g/km and 120bhp. The Civic 1.6 diesel models will be joined by the new CR-V, with fleets able to put the models to the test both on public roads and on both the Grand Prix and Stowe racing circuits.
The new Hondas form just part of a 200-model line-up from 21 manufacturers that will provide fleet decision makers with an excellent opportunity to properly assess their capabilities for their fleets.
However, test driving is just one element of this year’s Fleet World Fleet Show, which also offers an indoor exhibition area in the state-of-the-art Silverstone Wing conference centre.
This will play host to exhibits from a number of leading fleet service suppliers and providers as well as providing the venue for this year’s extensive fleet seminar programme.
Sponsored by ARI Fleet UK, the programme includes presentations from the Centre for Automotive Industry Research at Cardiff Business School, CENEX, the Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technologies, the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research and global automotive consultancy, Ricardo.
For the second year running, Venson Automotive Solutions will be hosting a “Question Time” style panel discussion session where delegates will be able to question a panel of specially selected guests on a wide range of fleet topics.
And the culmination of the conference programme will be a Fleet & Mobility Workshop, chaired by Nigel Trotman, Head of Strategic Consultancy at international leasing company, Alphabet.
At the same time, the final of the Fleet Driver of the Year competition, organised by ALD Automotive in conjunction with Peak Performance and Toyota & Lexus Fleet Services, will be held live at the Show.
