The new homes in Nightingales at Graylingwell Park

Visitors to Graylingwell Park in Chichester are reporting how wonderful it is to see the changing seasons and wonder why people would want to live in the town centre when you can live in such a stunning setting and just hop on the bus or even walk to town! The award-winning scheme, set within 85 acres of stunning parkland really is the jewel in the crown when it comes to finding a new home which truly offers the best of all worlds.

In good time for spring, the sales and marketing suite has recently undergone a redesign and it will officially re-launch on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March from 10am to 5pm. A brand new showhome in the refurbished Eastergate House will also be available to view and an Independent Financial Advisor will be on hand across the weekend to offer information and support about buying at Graylingwell Park. A limited number of goody bags will also be on offer on a first come first served basis!

Emily Tyers, director at Etre Creative which undertook the redesign of the marketing suite, says: “The concept was driven by the Graylingwell Park logo and branding. We’ve created a more practical, light and airy space. There interior is quirky with modern seating zones, a low-level topiary wall which acts as a ‘natural barrier’ and specially commissioned pendant lighting.

“However, the biggest priority was to maximise the stunning views of the parkland, so we’ve ensured the layout is open-plan so there’s views from all angles.”

Graylingwell Park, the UK’s largest carbon neutral development, is a partnership between Linden Homes, Affinity Sutton and the Homes and Communities Agency. It has environmental sustainability and community at its heart, with high quality, energy-efficient homes set in glorious surroundings, yet it’s less than a mile from Chichester’s historic city centre.

Not only does Graylingwell Park offer the best of both town and country, it also offers a wide choice of newly built homes as well as homes within the conversion of some of the original hospital buildings that are being given a new lease of life.

With the first phase of homes now fully occupied, the recently launched second phase, Nightingales, is already proving a hit, with around a third of the homes already snapped up. With a great choice of homes to suit a wide range of lifestyles there truly is something for everyone.

Natalie Flint, sales director of Linden Homes, says: “Those who bought in the first phase are already seeing a huge benefit to their lifestyles. Not only due to the ease of running a home with money-saving green technologies, but residents love living in an already well established setting.

“We’re very excited about the new homes in Nightingales, it’s great to be able to offer purchasers such a wide choice of homes – some love the idea of buying brand new while others prefer a home with some of the original period features.”

This latest collection of homes comprises one and two-bedroom newly built and refurbished apartments and duplexes through to three and four-bedroom newly built houses, with prices starting from just £199,995 for a newly built one-bedroom apartment. Reflecting the site’s history, the original Victorian and Regency buildings that were once the wards for the former Graylingwell Hospital will be keeping their original names.

A new community garden has recently opened for residents to grow their own fruit and vegetables, with everyone who takes part benefiting from the produce. There will also be an orchard, farm shop and community hall.

Graylingwell Park is perfectly located; while it is surrounded by glorious green parkland, it is less than a mile from Chichester’s historic city centre which offers a comprehensive range of shops, bars and restaurants. Reaching the coast is easy too, with the stunning beach of West Wittering around ten miles away.
