Help to buy your first home in Stourport

Savings of around £7,000 could be enough to secure a brand new home in Stourport with FirstBuy.

The Government-backed scheme is available on selected properties at Redrow’s Hamlet Place development.

It’s a great way to reduce the cost of setting up home as it offers customers the chance to take out an equity loan for up to 20% of the purchase price.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), explains: “We’re already experiencing sales success with FirstBuy at Hamlet Place, where three customers are using the valuable incentive to purchase their first home, but want to raise awareness of the scheme and how it can boost people’s buying power. Some people may not realise that they’re eligible for the valuable help, but in simple terms if you’re a first time buyer with a household income of less than £60,000 you could qualify for FirstBuy.

“With the help of an equity loan it could enable you to save thousands of pounds off the initial purchase price of a brand new home. Crucially the loan is interest-free for the first five years. And if that wasn’t enough, you should only need a relatively small deposit of around 5% of the price.”

Hamlet Place offers a good choice of properties ranging from two-bedroom starter homes to substantial detached family homes with up to five-bedrooms.

Current prices start from £134,995 for a two-bedroom Evesham. This stylish property can be snapped up for an initial outlay of just £107,996 with FirstBuy, including a deposit of £6,750.

“Despite the low price, those who purchase with FirstBuy will still be able to enjoy the benefits of owning a stylish new home with a high specification as standard,” Pauline added.

“We include many of the essentials people need when setting up home, such as oven, hob and fridge freezer, all of which are covered by manufacturers’ guarantees.”

Other incentives available at Hamlet Place include 95% mortgages through the NewBuy initiative and Redrow’s Mastermove service which enlists the help of a local agent to sell the customer’s home. Home owners may even be able to take advantage of part exchange and trade in their current property towards the cost of a brand new home.

Hamlet Place is about a mile from Stourport town centre with a wealth of amenities including supermarkets, high street stores and independent shops. Plus, with easy access to the M5, M42 and M40 the homes make a great base for commuters.

To discover more about the homes and the help available, visit Hamlet Place, open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
