Impressive payload secures more Renault Landers for Robinson

East Yorkshire based Robinson Contract Services Ltd., has invested in six new Renault Premium Lander 430.32 8x4 bulk tippers to service a new contract awarded to the company by Yorkshire Water. The vehicles, a mix of low roof and high roof sleeper cabs, were supplied through Renault Trucks dealer, Thompson Commercials Hull and join a 12-strong, predominantly Renault fleet.
 
The new Renault Landers have been fitted with Weightlifter 32 cubic metre plank-sided bulk tippers with air locking tail-doors and Harsh K110 under floor tipping gear.
 
Robinson Contract Services provides recycling services for the whole of the Yorkshire Water region, which sees the new Renault Landers hauling over 350,000 tonnes of biosolid products per year. In addition, the vehicles also transport Robinson Contract Services’ own quarry materials, such as lime and aggregates, as well as agricultural fertilisers.
 
Neil Fewlass, Director, Robinson Contract Services Ltd., says: “We chose the Renault Lander mainly due to its excellent payload. The Lander’s chassis is strong but lightweight and gives the vehicle a payload capacity of 19.7 tonnes, which is extremely impressive for an 8-wheeler sleeper cab.”
 
He continues: “Driver comfort was also an important consideration as the trucks will be working away all week. The sleeper cab is spacious and comfortable and driver feedback has been very positive.”
