Property-hunters are being urged to make a date in their diaries for the grand opening of Aspenwood, Taylor Wimpey’s exclusive forthcoming collection of brand new homes in Dickens Heath, West Midlands.

The launch of this stylish collection of just 12 private three and four-bedroom homes in a semi-rural location bordering open countryside will take place in early May, when quick-off-the-mark movers can take their pick from the first selection of properties available to reserve.

Anne Wallace, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We can’t wait to unveil our prestigious new Aspenwood development, which enjoys a tranquil location, bordered by mature trees, on the fringes of the popular community of Dickens Heath, and is within easy reach of Solihull, Birmingham and the region’s motorway network.

“With interest in the new properties already running high, I would advise aspiring purchasers to pay us a visit over the launch weekend if they want to stand the best chance of securing the home of their dreams.”

Aspenwood will comprise a mix of three and four-bedroom homes to suit couples and growing families and one of the first brand new homes to be released for sale over the launch weekend is the handsome four-bedroom Plot 8 ‘Eskdale’.

This magnificent family home features an open-plan kitchen/dining room with utility area, a spacious lounge which opens through French doors to the private rear garden, and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway. Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while a garage and driveway parking for two cars can be found outside.

All new homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification, including energy-efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

The brand new Government-backed Help to Buy shared equity scheme will be available at Aspenwood, enabling homebuyers to take their pick from a choice of stunning new homes for just 80% of their full price – including a 5% deposit.

Under Help to Buy, the Government provides eligible purchasers with a 20% loan to help them secure new-build homes priced up to £600,000. The initiative is available to both first-time buyers and existing homeowners, and there is no salary cap for customers taking advantage of the scheme.

The NewBuy initiative, meanwhile, gives credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances the chance to access their ideal home at Aspenwood with a 95% mortgage. Full details of all incentives can be obtained from the Sales Executive during the launch weekend.

Aspenwood enjoys a tranquil location on the southern fringes of Dickens Heath, a ‘new village’ established in 1998.

This emerging community offers a comprehensive range of amenities for day-to-day living, including shops, restaurants, a medical centre, a dental surgery, a village hall and a library.

Parents will appreciate the new homes are within easy reach of Dickens Heath Community Primary School and specialist science college Swanshurst School, both rated ‘Good’ in their latest Ofsted reports, plus the ‘Outstanding’ Shirley Heath Junior School.

Wider leisure, shopping and entertainment opportunities can be found in Birmingham city centre, around seven miles from home, and three miles away in Solihull, which boasts one of the region’s premier shopping destinations at Touchwood.

Aspenwood lies just three miles from junction 4 of the M42 for quick links to the M40, M5 and M6, and less than two miles from Whitlocks End railway station for direct services to Birmingham Moor Street station, while Birmingham International Airport is six miles away.
