A fantastic opportunity for those looking to move home is now on offer at Taylor Wimpey’s popular Silver Waters development in Brownhills, West Midlands.

The new Government Help to Buy shared equity scheme is now available at this in-demand development, enabling first-time buyers and existing homeowners to secure their new home for 80% of its full price, including a 5% deposit.

The four-bedroom ‘Bradenham’ detached house at Silver Waters, for example, can be secured under Help to Buy for an 80% shared equity price of just £183,996 (full price £229,995), including a 5% deposit as low as £11,500!*

Anne Wallace, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The new Help to Buy scheme will make a huge difference to both first and second-time buyers who can afford the monthly repayments on a mortgage but not the hefty deposit. We’re expecting a great deal of interest in the scheme and anyone hoping to take advantage of this incredible initiative should act now – or risk missing out.”

The ‘Bradenham’ features a spacious lounge and a contemporary kitchen/breakfast/family room, both opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a separate dining room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to an en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside, the property benefits from an integral garage and driveway parking.

Alternative four-bedroom designs are priced from £249,995 at Silver Waters, while three-bedroom homes are on sale from £179,995, with selected plots ready to move into in time for the summer.

All new homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

The Help to Buy shared equity scheme involves a Government loan of 20% and is available on new build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme.

Meanwhile, the NewBuy scheme lets credit-worthy first-time buyers and current homeowners purchase their ideal Taylor Wimpey home with a 95% mortgage.

Silver Waters is an exceptional collection of just 36 private homes from Taylor Wimpey Midlands, the award-winning housebuilder which has collected six Pride in the Job Quality Awards from the National House-Building Council (NHBC) for developments across the region in 2012.

The development is at the forefront of the exciting regeneration of Brownhills, and benefits from a convenient location within easy reach of a host of town centre amenities, including shops, cafes and restaurants, and a large Tesco superstore.

Just a short stroll from the development are the green open spaces of Holland Park, Chasewater Country Park and the rolling Staffordshire countryside, as well as the scenic towpaths of the Wyrley and Essington Canal. Meanwhile, nearby Cannock Chase offers acre upon acre of forest, woodland and parkland for walking, cycling and wildlife watching.

Schools for children of all ages are located close to the new homes, while commuters will appreciate the town’s good public transport links and close proximity to the A5, the A461, the M6 Toll and the M6 for connections around the Midlands.
