Purchasers looking for a family home that offers plenty of space should look no further than Kings Park in Harold Wood, Essex. Compared to the findings of a study called the ‘Case for Space’ by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the three bedroom homes offer excellent family accommodation, with at least 269 sq ft (25 sq m) more space than the average three bedroom being built across the UK.

The survey, which studied 3,418 new three bedroom homes across 71 sites in the UK, concluded that at an average of 947 sq ft (88 sq m), most properties are 86 sq ft (8 sq m) too small. In comparison, the three bedroom properties at Kings Park offer from 1,217 sq ft (113 sq m), with some of the larger three bedroom ‘Clements’ houses providing up to 1,678 sq ft (155 sq m).

According to RIBA, the top three things that people look for when moving are plenty of room, lots of outdoor space and a location near local services. At Kings Park, people are exceptionally well catered for, as all properties are spaciously designed featuring generous open plan living areas. In addition, within walking distance of Kings Park are a range of amenities including Harold Wood railway station (Liverpool Street within 35 minutes), plus a Post Office, supermarket, travel agent, several hairdressers, a bakery and a restaurant are all right on your doorstep!

Kings Park will provide a traditional leafy environment with tree-lined avenues and green open spaces creating a beautiful backdrop, whilst landscaped gardens and an attractive public realm will be easily accessible from every home. The development is surrounded by a wealth of countryside, woodland and parks and with green open spaces covering more than half of the borough, there are plenty of places to relax and recharge.

Tony Travers, Managing Director of the New Homes & Communities division at Countryside Properties comments: “We believe in creating well designed family homes that cater to our purchasers’ every need, from ensuring plenty of living space to carefully selecting prime locations for development which offer excellent local amenities and facilities.
