With just one property still available, buyers are being urged to act fast if they want to call Wheatley Chase in Halifax ‘home’.

The Redrow development off Keighley Road has been one of the most popular developments locally over the last three years and, as it approaches a sell-out, time really is of the essence.

The sought-after homes have been a real hit with first time buyers, families and downsizers alike thanks to the winning combination of a high specification and a location that puts everything homeowners need on their doorstep.

The good news for those who want to own the final property is that the new Government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available, making it easier to afford.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), commented: “We’ve totally transformed the site of the former Sykes Mill to create an attractive place where people really want to live. Because Wheatley Chase has been such a success people may think they’ve left it too late to buy here, but if they act fast they could snap up the final property. There’s even the chance to save thousands of pounds off the initial price and purchase with a relatively small deposit of 5% thanks to Help to Buy.”

The remaining home is a Kenilworth priced at £155,950 or just £124,760 with Help to Buy.

The Help to Buy price is made of up a 5% deposit from the customer of £7,798 and a mortgage of £116,963, which amounts to 75% of the property’s full value. The remaining share is covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years and can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or when they resell.

The Kenilworth is set out over three floors to maximise the potential of the space available. On the ground floor, there’s an open plan kitchen and dining room with a separate lounge and a cloakroom.

On the first floor are two bedrooms, the family bathroom and a study, which could also be used as play room or walk in wardrobe and dressing room depending on the buyer’s needs.

The crowning glory of the property is the master bedroom, complete with en-suite. Located on the top floor it offers parents a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of family living or could be used a guest suite.

The homes at Wheatley Chase are only a mile from Halifax town centre. The area boasts good local amenities including a supermarket, post office and doctors’ surgery and is well served by schools.
