A brand new collection of high-quality homes from leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey is coming soon in Borehamwood after a planning application was approved by Hertsmere Borough Council.

Gemini Park will comprise a superb selection 172 homes located on a former industrial site off Manor Way, close to Borehamwood town centre and just a stone’s throw from the world-famous Elstree Studios.

The development will include 113 private one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as 59 affordable homes. Demolition of the existing buildings on the site adjacent to Taylor Wimpey’s sold-out Oaktrees development began earlier in April, with construction due to start in the summer.

Bill Beyzade, Land and Planning Director for Taylor Wimpey North Thames, says: “We’re delighted to have started preparing the site at Gemini Park and are looking forward to construction getting under way in the summer, with the first new homes set to be released for sale early in 2014.

Christine Scarborough, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Our nearby Oaktrees development has been incredibly popular with buyers thanks to its winning combination of high-quality homes, great-value prices and a well-connected location within easy commuting distance of London.

“We expect these stylish new apartments to be snapped up quickly when they go on sale, so I would urge potential purchasers to register their interest now to receive more information as soon as it becomes available.”

Gemini Park is a commuter’s dream, with Elstree and Borehamwood railway station located within easy walking distance for regular services to London St Pancras in less than 25 minutes. Situated just within the M25, Borehamwood also offers excellent access to the M1, A1 and A41 for central London and the north.

The new homes are located a short distance from a Tesco supermarket and Borehamwood Shopping Park, which includes a Marks & Spencer Simply Food outlet, plus branches of Next and Boots.

Meanwhile, Brent Cross is just nine miles away, with 120 shops to choose from including John Lewis and Fenwick department stores.

Parents will appreciate that there’s a good choice of schools within close proximity of the development, providing education for children of all ages.
