Buying a new home is one of the most expensive outlays in most people’s lives so, with this in mind, Belper-based Peveril Homes is pleased to announce the launch of Help to Buy across all of its developments.

Launched during March’s Budget announcement, this new government-backed scheme is already bringing a new ray of hope to first time buyers and those looking for that next step up the housing ladder, as it enables purchasers to own 100 per cent of the home with just a five-per-cent deposit.

Angela Thomas, sales and marketing manager for Peveril Homes, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer all would-be purchasers the opportunity of Help to Buy.

“The introduction of this scheme clearly demonstrates that the government recognises the need to get people moving in an affordable and realistic way and I believe this scheme will help to do just that.

“The extended house value up to £600k will also play a strong part in people’s interest in the scheme, so there couldn’t be a better time to invest in bricks and mortar and take advantage of this stepping stone.”

The scheme works with just a five-per-cent deposit needed by the purchaser, and in conjunction with the government, Peveril Homes provides a 20-per-cent equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years. After this period, a modest 1.75-per-cent annual fee is added. In return, the purchaser owns 100 per cent of the property, making the dream of moving into a brand new home a reality – without the need for a hefty deposit.

From contemporary three-bedroom semi-detached houses to spacious five-bedroom detached properties, Peveril really does have something for everyone, in locations across the East Midlands, in both the town and country.

Phoenix Place, in Sutton-in-Ashfield, offers affordable three-bedroom homes in a stunning location, ranging from £129,950 to £139,950. The semi-detached Ashby is available from just £129,950 and features an open-plan kitchen and dining area, a large lounge, three well-sized bedrooms and a bathroom. Situated in a charming market town, these homes are great for first-time buyers and growing families alike, while being a commutable distance from major towns and cities.

Building quality homes from Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, to Brownsover, Warwickshire, Peveril offers a wide variety of properties across the East Midlands, perfect for a wide range of house-hunters.
