Homebuyers have a superb chance to step on the property ladder for less at Jubilee Gardens, Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after development in Walsall.

The two-bedroom ‘Appleford’ starter home is now available to reserve at the development through the Government’s new Help to Buy shared equity scheme, which lets first-time buyers and those looking to move on from their existing property secure new homes for just 80% of their full price.

Under Help to Buy, the ‘Appleford’ is available for an 80% price of just £91,196 (full price £113,995) including a 5% deposit of as little as £5,699.

There’s also an alternative choice of two and three-bedroom property designs available with the scheme at Jubilee Gardens from only £100,796.

Anne Wallace, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The ‘Appleford’ is a gorgeous terraced home which would make an ideal first house for individuals or couples – and Help to Buy offers them just the help they need to make that all-important step onto the property ladder.

“This superb scheme makes it possible to secure a house with an affordable deposit at Jubilee Gardens and then enjoy the benefits of lower monthly mortgage repayments.”

The ‘Appleford’ comprises an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a guest cloakroom and handy storage closet off the entrance hallway. Upstairs, the landing leads to two double bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside, the property benefits from allocated parking for two vehicles.

The Help to Buy shared equity scheme involves a Government loan of 20% and is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for purchasers using the scheme.

With Help to Buy customers only requiring a 75% loan-to-value mortgage for their new home, they can access a much wider choice of deals from lenders offering more competitive rates with lower monthly repayments.

Alternatively, the NewBuy scheme enables credit-worthy purchasers in a variety of circumstances to access their ideal home with a 95% mortgage. Details of all incentives are available from the Sales Executive.
