Inspired by The Kentucky Derby, USA, The Buffalo Bourbon Empire will pop up at Acorn 30 in Epsom, Surrey. Brought to you by award-winning Buffalo Trace Bourbon Whiskey to celebrate The Epsom Derby, the experience will be open for Ladies Day Friday 31 May and Derby Day on Saturday 1 June 2013.

Kentucky is coming to the Derby

Tucked away in a leafy suburb of Surrey, Acorn 30 will host The Buffalo Bourbon Empire to pay homage to the world famous Kentucky Derby. Guests should be prepared to immerse themselves in the Southern States way of life with a celebratory Buffalo Trace Mint Julep, which is synonymous with the history of The Kentucky Derby and has been promoted as the drink of choice there since 1938. Guests will also be able to enjoy traditional Southern gastronomy served straight from the BBQ including freshly made burgers accompanied by delicious Buffalo Trace BBQ sauce.

The Buffalo Bourbon Empire

Whether you are visiting Acorn 30 to watch The Epsom Derby or on your way to and from the racecourse, guests will be able to choose from an extensive list of Buffalo Trace signature cocktails for as little as £6.95 including The Buffalo Trace Mint Julep and other classics that epitomize America’s longstanding love affair with bourbon, from the Old-Fashioned to the Manhattan. Also try new tipples that are set to become quick favourites like the Pickle Back, a shot of smooth tasting Buffalo Trace followed by a chaser of pickle juice made from our secret recipe. This is the third installment of The Buffalo Bourbon Empire following its acclaimed pop up events in London and Brighton in 2012 and earlier this year.

Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon

On the banks of the famous Kentucky River where the buffalo crossed on their ancient westerly migratory route, Buffalo Trace is distilled, aged and bottled at the most award-winning distillery in the world. Crafted with the finest Kentucky and Indiana corn, selected rye and superior malted barley, this bourbon is aged in new oak barrels for 8 – 12 years in century old warehouses until the peak of maturity, determined by our Master Blender Drew Mayville. Buffalo Trace has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses, a pleasantly sweet taste with notes of brown sugar, spice, oak and leather, with a long and dry yet smooth finish.
