Fans of the blue propeller now have a new mecca at which to worship the many marvellous Munich meisterwerk – the BMW Show at Santa Pod on the 15th September 2013.

Now in its 8th year, the show has grown to encompass every type and genre of BMW, from track and race cars, through to immaculate show cars, daily drivers and even motorbikes! The show is an unabashed celebration of the cars, its fans and the lifestyle that goes with it. A packed day of activities is assured, with the option of attending an unlimited RWYB session on the preceding Saturday and staying over to enjoy the evening’s entertainment in the Fuelers Bar before hitting the show itself.

Quarter mile action features heavily as you might expect, and with their mainly RWD platforms and excellent traction, BMWs are ideally suited for the strip. Why not pair up with a club member or friend and settle any old grudges on the strip? An MSA/FIA timing slip soon settles the argument! With categories for each engine and type of vehicle, trophies will be handed out at the end of the day for the fastest in class.

A BMW-only ‘Show and Shine’ competition pits the UK’s best cars head-to-head to establish the most perfectly presented car on the showground. Separate classes for custom, original, Mini and bike classes means you can expect to see a wide variety of immaculate machines on display.

Clubs are a huge part of BMW life and dedicated club and camping areas allow members to park together and shoot the breeze. The handling area also allows any owners to practise their moves in complete safety as well as allow ‘The Ultimate Driving Machine’ to really stretch its legs. Talking of which, the mobile dyno on site means you can even get an accurate power reading and set-up advice for your pride and joy whilst here!

Live Action is also the order of the day with spellbinding Stunt Shows, the insane Fireforce Jet Car and Drift passenger rides for those wanting to go forwards while looking through the side window! If that all sounds too hectic, why not take a leisurely walk through the Cars For Sale and Traders areas to see if anything takes your fancy?

Top it all off with licensed bars for the non-drivers, stacks of on-site catering and a full-on Funfair, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a great weekend away. So tootle down in the 2002, cruise down on the K1 or fire up the F30.. It’s going to be brilliant!
