The 21st annual Woodspring Wings Model Airshow is fast approaching and organisers have once again planned a host of attractions to entertain visitors.

The show, this year taking place on 6-7 July, is expected to be bigger and better than ever, after having to be called off last year due to bad weather.

The event will be attended by some of the best model aircraft flyers in the country who will display and demonstrate a wide range of models for enthusiasts and local visitors alike.

Held at the Woodspring Wings Airfield in Yatton, show organisers have also confirmed that favourite attractions will be returning including the Toffee Bomber and a high altitude rocket launch.

Woodspring Wings chairman Warren Smyth said: “We’re so pleased to be bringing the show back to Yatton once more this year. It’s not only become a favourite event on the model enthusiast’s calendar but also a fantastic local event for the community.

“Many people were disappointed last year when the show was cancelled so we’re thrilled with the planning of this event so far. Some brilliant pilots and attractions have signed up, so all we need now is for the sun to shine and we’ll have a great weekend!”

The Woodspring Wings show is one of the top events in the UK modellers’ calendar with flying expertise displayed by club members and top UK pilots as well as members of the Large Model Association.

Some of the biggest and best models the UK has to offer will be there, with everything from First World War biplanes to modern jets. The event will also feature stalls, refreshments and other attractions for the whole family.

Ticket prices start from £6.00 for OAPs and £8.00 for adults with a family ticket for £20.00. Children aged 5-16 cost £5.00 with children under 5 going free.

Discounts are available for pre-booked tickets and families can camp at the site for as little as £15.00.

Woodspring Wings 2013 is presented by Woodspring Wings MAC and Weston Model Flying Club.
