Compton Park development takes shape

The Highgrove show home

Six months on from its launch, an exclusive new housing venture in Wolverhampton is taking shape with the first homes now occupied.

As building work at Compton Park progresses, Redrow is inviting potential purchasers to an open house weekend (July 20 & 21).

Visitors will be able to view the Highgrove show home and also walk around another finished property, the five-bedroom Buckingham.

Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), says: “Compton Park has been a hive of activity and has come a long way since we opened the show home in January. We have already welcomed the first residents and more people are due to move in over the coming weeks. But we appreciate that passers-by may not realise just how much progress we have made as the properties are set back from the main road. With that in mind we’re inviting them to get up close and personal this weekend.

“They’ll see that we now have an attractive street scene of homes that boast the traditional charm of ‘period’ properties. And when they step inside the Highgrove and the Buckingham they will be able to appreciate the space, attention to detail and luxurious specification we’re offering.”

Available from £599,995, the Buckingham is a substantial home with some very attractive external features including a double height front bay window and an arched porchway.

At its heart is a combined kitchen, breakfast and family area, providing a warm and welcoming living space. The kitchen boasts silestone work surfaces as standard and is well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances.

The property also features a dedicated dining room, plus a separate lounge.

“Those who prefer more relaxed meal times could forego the dining room in favour of a study. Alternatively they could use this space as a second lounge and utilise one of the bedrooms as a home office,” Pauline suggests.

“The design of the Buckingham really is quite flexible and we encourage buyers who don’t need five bedrooms for sleeping to think about how else they could use all that space. If they have young children they may want to give them a play room, while fitness fanatics could create a home gym.”

All five bedrooms in the Buckingham are doubles and, as well as the family bathroom, there are no fewer than four en-suites; each equipped with elegant white sanitaryware, ceramic floor and wall tiles and high quality fixtures and fittings.

The master bedroom enjoys the added glamour of a dressing room.

Situated off Compton Park West, Compton Park is in the catchment area for a selection of high quality primary and secondary schools, making the homes ideally placed for those with children.

The properties enjoy a leafy setting with nearby playing parks and the Smestow Local Nature Reserve providing opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors close to home.

To sample the luxury lifestyle that Redrow is offering at Compton Park, visit the development this weekend (July 20 & 21).
