Taylor Wimpey’s Kensington Place development in Great Preston is reporting an excellent first 12 months to trading with Help to Buy boosting sales.

The sought-after scheme of three, four and five bedroom homes has sold more than 40 per cent of its 114 homes just a year on from the official opening.

With Help to Buy boosting reservations, viewings and enquiries – local house-hunters are advised to move quickly.

Anne Bagshaw, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire commented: “Kensington Place is a stunning development of affordable homes that will suit first-time buyers and families alike. We knew the site would generate a lot of interest thanks to its excellent location, but we are delighted with the speed of progress at the site.”

Prices at Kensington Place start at just £189,995 for a three bedroom semi-detached Ingleton home.

Anne comments: “Each home design at Kensington Place delivers an exceptional amount of property for the money and Help to Buy is enabling eligible buyers to launch themselves into sizeable family homes without having to save for bank-breaking deposits.”

The government-backed Help to Buy scheme enables customers to reserve properties worth up to £600,000 with just a five per cent deposit. By providing access to a 25 year government loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property, buyers only require a loan to value mortgage of 75 per cent.

Anne concluded: “With so many homes already sold, footfall reaching impressive highs and the Help to Buy effect kicking in, I would urge any interested parties to get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
