For a limited time only, Crest Nicholson is offering to pay the stamp duty and legal fees for those people purchasing a brand new apartment at Park Central in Birmingham city centre.

The offer is available on just two select plots* – both two bedroom apartments – in the latest building at Park Central, Central Plaza, and is only available until Sunday 11 August (or earlier, if the plots are sold).

Equating to approximately £2,500, stamp duty and legal fees must be paid by all purchasers in the UK (unless otherwise stipulated) and are often considered the ‘forgotten costs’ associated with the house buying process.

Both of the selected apartments – located on either the third or sixth floor of Central Plaza – boast extensive views across the eight acres of parkland at Park Central, especially from their spacious balconies and large windows in the open plan living and kitchen room. In keeping with all Crest Nicholson properties, the homes at Park Central boast high quality and designer kitchens along with contemporary bathrooms, equipped with eco-friendly Hansgrohe technology.

Ruth Williams, sales manager at Park Central said: “By offering to pay the stamp duty and legal fees on two of our stunning new apartments, Crest Nicolson is helping to ease the financial strain of those people who have already spent months saving up for a deposit for their new home.”

The Stamp Duty (which is a national land tax set by the Government) on both the apartments currently stands at 1% of the asking price of the apartment. For the selected two bedroom 708 sq ft apartment on the sixth floor of Central Plaza (priced at £167,500), the Stamp Duty equates to £1,675. This, along with the legal fees (which can reach as high as £1,000), will be paid by Crest Nicholson under the offer.

Ruth said: “The new two bedroom apartments at Central Plaza really do stand out from what else is being offered in Birmingham City Centre. No other development has as much green space as Park Central, all of which is open for residents to use on a daily basis.

“New homeowners also benefit from the size of our apartments, which are larger than the standard in Birmingham, with two double bedrooms, a main bathroom and an en-suite off one of the rooms.

“We have already seen fantastic sales at Central Plaza, with nearly 40 apartments purchased from plan. The first of our homeowners are due to move into their new apartments in just a couple of months and we are all very much looking forward to welcoming them to the development.”

Construction is currently underway on the two apartment buildings that make up Central Plaza. Set on an elevated deck garden, a total of 132 apartments will be delivered when the phase is complete; the majority of which will benefit from allocated parking. Prices for the apartments start from £122,500 for a one bedroom apartment.

Located just five minutes from Five Ways railway station and a 15 minute walk from New Street Station, residents at Park Central benefit from a number of amenities on site, as well as the many bars, restaurants, art gallery and theatre which are just a short walk away at Brindleyplace.
