According to Knight Frank’s latest annual new-build report, the highest overall demand across the country is for three bedroom homes, with 95% of respondents reporting moderate or high demand for this property type.

This is exactly what Bloor Homes has found at its new homes development at The Lanterns in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, where only a few of the three bedroom properties are remaining due to the increased demand.

The Bampton is an excellent example of a modern and well-proportioned three bedroom family home. It comprises of an entrance hall which leads to a spacious lounge, and at the back of the house is a bright, open plan kitchen and dining room with French doors opening to the rear garden. The kitchen is fully fitted with contemporary units, with a utility room and cloakroom adjoining. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, with the master bedroom boasting fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room. The property also benefits from a garage and further parking. The Bampton makes a great home for a small family looking to climb the property ladder.

Irthlingborough has plenty of history, being a heavy labour-industry town for the last 200 years, earning its livelihood from agriculture, quarrying and mining. The town has since developed into a wonderfully charming community, set amongst beautiful rolling countryside. There is a calm family atmosphere to the town, with three schools within walking distance of The Lanterns site.

The town centre features a supermarket, a collection of local shops as well as Rushden and Diamonds FC for the sports enthusiasts. In nearby towns such as Wellingborough there are plenty of high street stores within the Swansgate shopping centre and the town centre at Rushden has recently been regenerated.

Situated minutes from the A6, Irthlingborough is well connected to Kettering and Bedford. There are regular buses into Wellingborough and Kettering, where trains run to London St Pancras in around an hour, making it good for commuting but still enjoying the serenity of countryside towns.

The Bampton is priced from £155,000 and is available with the Help to Buy scheme, which provides a government backed equity loan of up to 20% of the value of the property, meaning you will only need a 5% deposit to buy a new home.
