More people are receiving Motability support from Liverpool Volkswagen, part of the CJ Automotive Group, than from any other dealership in the network, it has been revealed.

The Derby Road centre currently looks after more than 950 Motability customers – providing and maintaining Motability vehicles for disabled people – and aims to reach the 1,000 customers target by the end of this year.

Fleet director Andrea Hodgson said: “The Motability scheme is intended to enable and empower people, so we have a dedicated team of experts available at our Liverpool dealership, with unrivalled experience in this sector.

“Their role is to care for the Motability customer from very first visit, through the process of selecting a car, to maintaining the vehicle and assisting in the changeover from one car to the next.

“This, combined with the quality vehicles available from Volkswagen has made the Liverpool centre exceptionally popular.

“Everyone knows the quality and reliability of Volkswagen cars,” she added. “But many people are surprised to find out they can get one through the Motability scheme. The Golf Mk7 is already one of the most popular cars on the scheme, exceeding all expectations.”

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair, using their Government funded mobility allowance. Motability is a national charity which, over the past 35 years, has helped more than three million people get mobile.
