Instant success for Hardingstone homes

With one person queuing on the opening day from 6am, another travelling 350 miles to view show homes and a third of the homes already sold, Scholars Place in Hardingstone, Northampton, has been an unreserved success.

More than 500 people had previously registered their interest in Redrow’s latest Northamptonshire development. Many of them attended over the launch weekend, with the first house hunter arriving four hours before the sales office opened and others packing out the car park by the time staff arrived.

Now, with 11 firms sales and a number of ‘early bird’ reservations from those who want to buy particular properties even before the showhomes open in mid-September, Redrow is urging buyers to act fast.

Tonia Tyler, head of sales for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “Scholars Place has been eagerly awaited, but while we expected demand to be high it was a pleasant surprise to see so many people waiting for the sales office to open.

“One person told us they had been waiting since 6am and another said they had travelled to Blackpool and back to view the show homes there before committing to buy here. It shows the lengths that people will go to in a bid to secure their preferred property.”

“We’ve already sold a third of the properties at Scholars Place ‘off plan’, which is testament to Redrow’s reputation for building quality homes that people really want to live in,” Tonia adds.

“It also suggests an increase in consumer confidence in the housing market. Buyers really do need to act fast if they want to secure their preferred property.”

Featuring designs from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, the homes at Scholars Place are inspired by the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era and look traditional from the outside. Inside, however, they are bright and modern with well equipped kitchens that are both practical and stylish, plus sleek bathrooms and en-suites with quality fixtures and fittings.

Current availability includes three and four-bedroom homes with prices from £234,950.

Located in Newport Pagnell Road, on the southern edge of Northampton, the development enjoys a beautiful setting in an area well served by local schools. Easy access to the M1 and the M6 makes the homes equally well suited to commuting to London or Birmingham.

The sales office at Scholars Place is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
