TV favourite and housing expert Phil Spencer visited Crest Nicholson’s Park Central development in Birmingham city centre for the new series of Location, Location, Location.

The development will appear on the popular Channel Four TV programme on Thursday 19th September at 8pm. During the show, Phil and his co-presenter Kirstie Alsop recommend four properties that best suit the needs of a chosen househunter struggling to find their dream home – in this case, a young couple looking to buy their first property together with a budget of £120,000.

Located just minutes from the Mailbox and Brindleyplace, more than 70 per cent of purchasers at Crest Nicholson’s Park Central development are first time buyers, attracted by the city centre lifestyle and affordable price.

Susan Young, sales and marketing director for Crest Nicholson Regeneration said: “We are delighted that Phil and the rest of the Location, Location, Location team selected Park Central as an ideal place for people to live in Birmingham city centre.

“The property Phil chose for the couple was a one bedroom apartment in our brand new phase, Central Plaza which is currently under construction at Park Central. This means the househunters would be buying from plan, giving them the chance to have their say on what kitchens, light fittings and tiles they like best. It also means we were able to get the whole team kitted out in safety helmets, steel capped boots and high visibility jackets for a ‘behind the hoardings’ look at what the property will be like.”

The first homes in Central Plaza are due to be delivered in October. Built to a high specification, most of the new properties boast outdoor space, either in the form of a large terrace or a modern balcony overlooking eight acres of parkland and the city centre beyond. The majority of apartments also come with parking.

Prices for the apartments start from as little as £122,500 for a spacious one bedroom apartment and from £158,000 for a two bedroom apartment. A range of schemes, including the Government’s equity loan scheme Help to Buy are available on the properties, designed to help first time buyers struggling to save a large deposit to own their own home.

For more information about Central Plaza, visit the Park Central sales office which is open daily from 10am to 5pm and is located at 61 Mason Way, Birmingham B15 2GE. Alternatively, visit parkcentral.co.uk.
