Families are finding there’s lots of fun to be had at Lawley Village, a brand new community being created on the western fringes of Telford.

Youngsters at this sought-after new neighbourhood have plenty of opportunities to keep active in their leisure time thanks to the abundance of natural open spaces, green areas and playgrounds.

Residents of all ages can also get out and about on Lawley Village’s pedestrian and cycle paths. These are developing to create a convenient network with the excellent public rights of way linking Lawley to Telford town centre and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

The new community is being created by Lawley Village Developer Group (LVDG), which comprises Barratt Homes, Charles Church, David Wilson Homes, Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey.

Guy Scott, Director for LVDG, says: “There’s so much for families and children to do at Lawley Village, with a wealth of opportunities for getting out and about and enjoying the great outdoors right on the doorstep.

“It’s been fantastic to see youngsters enjoying the superb new play facilities this summer at Lawley Village, which are also providing a good focal point for parents to get to know each other too.

“Children playing together is all part of the great community spirit which is already developing at Lawley Village – we’re just hoping for some more sunny weather to keep encouraging everyone outside!”

The children’s play area at Clover Mead and Wenlock Square for primary school-aged children at Lawley Village, has been installed by Telford & Wrekin Council via Developer Section 106 contributions, and complements the existing facility for older children, off Glendale, behind Lawley Village Green. Developer contributions have already upgraded the other local play areas at Princes End off station Road and at The Rock. Future phases will incorporate and link further play areas as the Development continues.
