Success on a plate for Land Rover’s September sales

25th September 2007 Print
Land Rover UK dealers are set for record breaking sales in September as customers snap up the new 57 plate.

The growth is being driven by sales of the all new Freelander 2, Land Rover's most fuel efficient and lowest CO2 model, and the continuing success of the Range Rover, thanks to demand for the new V8 diesel engine. This gives performance on a par with the petrol engine but with a 32% improvement in fuel economy and associated CO2 reductions.

Land Rover’s previous best September was in 2005 when 9328 cars were sold in the UK and dealers are confident of improving on that.

John Edwards, Land Rover’s UK Managing Director, said, “September is becoming the new March. We have a great model line up and dealers are seeing strong demand for the new registration plate – they’re confident of breaking previous records.”
