Showhomes teach buyers about new homes

New homes in Hardingstone are already scoring top marks with buyers and with showhomes opening this weekend Redrow hopes to chalk up further sales success.

Scholars Place has been hugely popular with more than a dozen homes already sold ‘off plan’ and several ‘early bird’ buyers waiting in the wings for specific properties to be released for sale.

This weekend (September 21/22) will be the first chance buyers have had to see inside showhomes and appreciate the layouts, quality and finish of the properties

Helen McGill, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), said: “There’s growing consumer confidence in the housing market with various banks, analysts and industry bodies pointing to the affordability of mortgages, low interest rates and Help to Buy as the main reasons. This is born out in the number of ‘off plan’ sales we have secured at Scholars’ Place. We also have many potential purchasers who have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the showhomes before making a commitment.

“Scholars Place is a hugely popular development that already appears to have it all – a beautiful setting, good schools within walking distance and stylish new homes with a superb specification.

“Our two new show homes will be the icing on the cake; now would-be home owners can really see, feel, experience and truly appreciate what we are building here in Hardingstone.”

Professional interior designers have dressed examples of a three-bedroom Letchworth and four-bedroom Cambridge as lived in family homes that are both aspirational and achievable.

Externally, the Letchworth is reminiscent of a 1930s’ semi, a style which holds a special place in the nation’s affections. Inside, however it’s bright and modern.

On the ground floor, there’s a lounge to the front, open plan kitchen and dining room with French doors opening onto the rear garden, plus a laundry and downstairs cloaks.

A curved staircase leads to the first floor, where the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite while the remaining two bedrooms share the family bathroom.

Offering 1,382 square feet of accommodation, the Cambridge is the larger of the two showhomes. At its heart, and spanning the width of the property, is the open plan kitchen, dining area and family room. This inviting, sociable space is complemented by the separate lounge, ideal for quieter, more relaxed moments.

Current availability at Scholars Place includes a choice of three and four-bedroom properties with prices from £234,950 for a Letchworth similar to the showhome.
Buyers could see the initial cost of one of these sought-after New Heritage Collection homes reduced to only £187,960 with Help to Buy.

The Help to Buy price is made up of a 4% deposit from the customer and a mortgage for 76% of the property’s full value.

Located in Newport Pagnell Road, on the southern edge of Northampton, the development enjoys a beautiful setting in an area well served by local schools. Easy access to the M1 and the M6 makes the homes equally well suited to commuting to London or Birmingham.

To be among the first to view the showhomes, visit Scholars Place this weekend (September 21/22).
