Heritage Motor Centre to host its first Toy Fair

The Heritage Motor Centre is to host its first Toy and Collectors Fair and expected to attract hundreds of visitors when it takes place on Sunday 24 November from 10am – 3pm. Over 150 exhibitors from all over the UK will be show-casing a range of collectables from old and new toys such as teddy-bears and dolls, to car, bus, plane and train models.

Thousands of collectables will be for sale including some big brand names from the past and present such as Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Spot-On Diecast, Scalextric, Model Railways in OO and N gauges, O gauge by Hornby, Tinplate and Steam Toys. Other items will include TV, Film and Advertising collectables plus Teddy bears and Dolls.

The fair will also host Memorabilia and Antique Advertising items such as enamel signs, show-cards, rare old bottles, pot lids, breweriana and kitchenalia. Visitors can spend the day buying, selling, exchanging or valuing their vintage toys and collections, with prices starting from as little as a couple of pounds whilst rare items are expected to sell for hundreds.

The HMC is also providing discounted entry to the Museum so visitors can also spend the day looking around the vast collection of historical British cars including a Land Rover No1, Morris Minor No1, the first and last Mini, the Thunderbirds Fab1 car and the Jaguar 2000 Formula 1 car. Visitors can also enjoy a delicious range of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day in the Junction 12 Cafe.

Tom Caren, Show Manager for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “We are delighted to be hosting our first Toy & Collectors Fair which I’m sure will be incredibly popular with collectors of all ages. With free parking, discounted entry to the Museum and a huge selection of toys and models for sale, the Toy Fair promises to be a great day out”.
