Property-seekers looking for an up-and-coming location in which to buy a new home are being urged to visit Taylor Wimpey’s superb Woodall Grange development in Dudley.

There is a fantastic selection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes available for buyers to choose from at the development in the West Midlands town, which is currently enjoying a major regeneration.

Work is underway to boost the mix of shops, cafes, restaurants and businesses in the town, while tourist attractions such as Dudley Zoo are also seeing improvement works carried out. Meanwhile, plans for a £6.7 million revamp of Dudley’s historic market place are also in the pipeline.

Discerning buyers are being encouraged to visit Woodall Grange to find out how the Government’s Help to Buy shared equity scheme can make purchasing a new-build property there even more affordable than they might think.

For example, eligible purchasers can secure the two-bedroom ‘Canterbury’ apartment, priced £99,995, with a 5% deposit of just £5,000 and monthly mortgage repayments of £339.76. This compares with the average cost of renting a similar-sized property in Dudley being £484 a month.

Anne Wallace, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Anyone who has ever rented a property will know how frustrating it is to feel as though you are throwing your money away, but prospective buyers may be surprised to discover just how affordable purchasing their very own home at Woodall Grange can be.

“What’s more, Dudley is certainly the place to buy in the West Midlands as the town is undergoing a massive regeneration, making it the ideal location for savvy house-hunters who have an eye on the future.”

The ‘Canterbury’ apartment features a large open-plan kitchen/living/dining room, two bedrooms and a main bathroom, while an allocated parking space can be found outside.

Alternative properties available to buy at Woodall Grange, including one-bedroom starter homes priced from just £115,995, two-bedroom homes priced from £128,995, three-bedroom houses from £149,995 and four-bedroom properties from £235,995.

Under Help to Buy, eligible first-time buyers and those with a property to sell can secure their new home for 80% of its full price, including a deposit as low as 5%.

Purchasers receive a Government loan of up to 20% and it is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme.

Woodall Grange enjoys a well-connected location off Constitution Hill, just a short stroll from the extensive selection of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues in Dudley town centre.

Meanwhile, big-name brands, niche products, everyday items and special gifts can be snapped up at any one of over 230 stores at Merry Hill Shopping Centre, three miles away, where food from across the globe can be enjoyed at more than 50 places to eat.

Families will also appreciate the good choice of nursery, primary and secondary schools located near the new homes.
For commuters, there’s quick access to the A4123 into Birmingham or Wolverhampton, while junction 2 of the M5 motorway is just a few miles away, providing links to the M42 and M6 for the Midlands and beyond. Dudley Port railway station is just over two miles from home, offering services into Birmingham New Street in approximately 15 minutes.

To find out more about the benefits of securing a new home at Woodall Grange, house-hunters can visit the Sales Centre, located off Martin Hill Street, Dudley, DY2 8RT, and open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
