Barratt set to take the wraps off new homes in Chichester

Barratt is set to showcase the very latest in home design when it unveils its brand new Chichester development this month.

The first phase of Canal Walk in Southfield Close opens on Saturday October 19 with the five star housebuilder already reporting high levels of interest in the two, three and four bedroom properties.

Barratt sales director Michelle Storer said the showhomes will give buyers a great insight into the style and quality of homes being built at Canal Walk.

“Homes at the new development have been created to provide the styles of modern living that buyers are searching for in a new home,’’ said Michelle.

A total of 112 homes are being created at the development and features of the homes include traditional looking exteriors to complement the surroundings together with modern and airy interiors and flexible layouts.

Energy conservation is also high on the Barratt agenda with the new homes designed to be as energy efficient as possible and offering huge energy cost savings over older homes.

“We believe this development ticks all the boxes in offering buyers exactly what they are looking for in a great rural location but with easy access to Chichester city centre and the A27.’’

And buyers at Canal Walk will also be able to take advantage of buying with Help to Buy – the government backed scheme for first time buyers and those moving up the housing ladder.

Under Help to Buy you will own 100 per cent of your home and the scheme is made up an equity loan and mortgage guarantee. Buyers need only need a 5% deposit to qualify for the best mortgage rates and then the Government will lend you up to 20% of the value of your property through an equity loan, which is putting home ownership within reach for thousands of people who previously weren’t in a position to move.
