Property-seekers looking for a fantastic apartment in the heart of Welwyn Garden City have been quick to snap up their pick of the superb new homes at Taylor Wimpey’s Mirage development using Help To Buy.

Savvy homebuyers have been taking advantage of the Government’s shared equity scheme to secure one of the contemporary apartments, enabling them to purchase their new home for 80% of its full price – including a deposit as low as 5%.

Christine Scarborough, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “These apartments have proved incredibly popular with people looking for a base in the heart of this thriving town and with fantastic links into the City.

“With Help To Buy making it even easier and more affordable to secure one of these fabulous properties, would-be homebuyers cannot afford to delay if they don’t want to miss out on their ideal home.”

The plot 125 one-bedroom apartment, for example, costs £147,500 and features an open-plan kitchen/living room with an attractive Juliet balcony, plus a master bedroom and a bathroom.

Two-bedroom apartments are also available to buy priced from £210,000 and benefit from en-suite master bedrooms, a further bedroom and a main bathroom.

Help To Buy involves a Government loan of up to 20% and is available on new-build properties up to the value of £600,000. There is no salary cap for homebuyers taking advantage of the scheme.

Mirage enjoys a convenient location close to the tree-lined boulevards of Welwyn Garden City’s neo-Georgian town centre. The town boasts a large John Lewis and the Howard Centre indoor shopping mall as well as a wealth of restaurants, entertainment and leisure facilities.

Just 25 miles north of central London, Welwyn Garden City is an ideal spot for commuters looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, as well as for parents looking for a peaceful but well-appointed place to raise their families. There are schools for children of all ages within close proximity of the development.

Mirage also benefits from exceptional transport links, with Welwyn Garden City railway station just a stone’s throw away for regular services to London King’s Cross in under 30 minutes, while Junction 4 of the A1(M) is within two miles of the new homes and the M25 is just 11 miles away.

Property-seekers who are interested in securing a new home at Mirage with Help To Buy can visit the Sales Information Centre, located in Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, AL7 3BQ, and open Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 5.30pm and on Mondays from 2pm to 5.30pm.
