Bury business rolls back the years with new showroom launch

A car retailer in Bury St Edmunds had a ‘celebration to remember’ when they rolled back the years to host an action-packed night to launch their newly-refurbished showroom.

Volkswagen Bury St Edmunds was inundated with customers keen to soak up the nostalgic atmosphere of their unique retro event.

The evening set out to honour the Volkswagen brand and the Suffolk town through the years and proved the perfect backdrop to launch the state-of-the-art showroom last Thursday.

Robert Rolfe, brand manager at Volkswagen Bury St Edmunds, said: “We are delighted with the success of the launch. It couldn’t have gone better. The showroom was flooded with customers who wanted to have a look around and get involved in the festivities.

“Our historic car display, which featured a whole array of Volkswagens from each decade, was a particular hit with the customers. It really added an iconic flavour to the evening.

“We also hosted a number of workshop tours, showcased screenings of Volkswagen TV adverts, old and new, and ended the evening with a spectacular fireworks display. It certainly was a celebration to remember.”

Prior to the official opening event, the showroom underwent a complete transformation to replicate Volkswagen’s new corporate identity with clean lines and a crisp colour palette making the overall atmosphere lighter, brighter and more relaxing for customers.

Robert added: “The new state-of-the-art showroom can now hold more than 11 of Volkswagen’s latest models and over 40 used cars. We also offer iPads so our customers can configure their ideal car in the comfort of our reception area. The feedback we received about the evening and the new showroom has been fantastic.

“We are extremely proud of the work and effort that has gone into this renovation and are delighted to have celebrated this hard work with our valued customers.”
