A new development of homes in Hatfield has been named Prince’s Gate to celebrate the birth of royal baby Prince George, a leading Thames Valley house builder has revealed.

The Persimmon Homes development will feature a collection of two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom homes making it ideal for young professionals, couples and those with growing families, just like royal parents Kate and William.

Prince’s Gate is on Mount Pleasant Lane and offers the best of both worlds, with beautiful countryside on the doorstep but Hatfield town close-by, and excellent transport links making London accessible in as little as 22 minutes.

Elaine Stratford, Persimmon Homes Thames Valley sales director, said that each of the homes was built to the highest standards and would offer a perfect base for families in one of the most highly sought after areas of Old Hatfield.

“The area provides an excellent choice of state and private schools, from nursery through to sixth form, with Ryde School Primary School, Bishops Hatfield Girls’ School and Queenswood independent school close by.

“Living at Prince’s Gate also yields many opportunities for enjoying beautiful countryside and historic buildings. Stanborough Lakes, Hatfield House and Gardens and the River Lea are all within reach and provide spectacular scenery and lots of opportunities for walking, cycling and family fun.”

Elaine added: “Prince’s Gate is set to launch in December when potential homebuyers will be able to view the show home and see for themselves what their dream home could look like. Buyers reserving early will have all the benefits of buying off-plan including the chance to secure their preferred property and location within the development. Reserving at this stage also means customers can truly personalise their home by choosing from a range of fixtures and fittings such as kitchen units, flooring, tiles or accessories from the Persimmon Homes range of finishing touches.

“Buyers can benefit from a range of incentives and offers to make moving into their first home or moving up the property ladder more affordable.”

With the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, customers are able to secure their purchase with a deposit of just five per cent. This is then combined with an equity loan from the Government which is interest free for the first five years, equating to 20 per cent of the property’s value. A mortgage is then secured on the remaining 75 per cent meaning lower mortgage repayments in the first stages of the loan.

Persimmon Homes’ Home Change scheme can also assist buyers with an existing property to sell. Elaine added: “Home Change is an excellent scheme that can help buyers to make their next move more quickly.

“Under the scheme Persimmon Homes sales advisors take the hassle out of selling the buyer’s property leaving them free to concentrate on moving into their new home. They will arrange valuations, agree a price and then market the property. There are no estate agent fees or headaches - everything is taken care of.

Prince’s Gate enjoys excellent transport links with the A1(M) around three minutes away from the development and the M25 approximately ten minutes’ drive from the properties. Hatfield Station is less than a mile from the development offering fast, direct services into London Kings Cross and further on-going services to Moorgate.

Elaine added: “This is a fabulous development and we want to make sure that buyers find moving here as easy as possible. With the comprehensive set of schemes we now offer, it really never has been easier to buy the home of your dreams.”
