Dream homes await in Billingshurst

19th November 2013 Print

One of the region’s most respected house builders says its latest exclusive development will be perfect for families looking for a slice of village life.

Charles Church Southern’s new Imperium Gate development features a range of high quality two, three and four-bedroom homes, just over a mile from the centre of the charming West Sussex village of Billingshurst.

A range of purchasing schemes are available, each suited to buyers at different stages of the property ladder, meaning home-hunters’ dream home could be closer than they think.

The 14-home development sits just off Stane Street, the old Roman road from Chichester to London, in a village rich in heritage and community life.

Sharon Eldred, Charles Church Southern head of sales, said the homes would offer a perfect base for families and a range of incentives would make the move to a new home even more affordable for buyers.

“The area provides an excellent choice of state and private schools, from nursery through to sixth form, with both Billingshurst Primary School and The Weald School situated within the village.

“Living at Imperium Gate also yields many opportunities for enjoying beautiful countryside.

The Weald, Surrey Hills and South Downs National Park are all within reach and provide spectacular scenery and lots of opportunities for walking, cycling and family fun.”

Sharon added: “At this stage, customers will be buying off plan which offers the chance to secure their preferred property and location within the development. Reserving at this stage also means customers can truly personalise their home by choosing from a range of fixtures and fittings such as kitchen units, flooring, tiles or accessories from the Charles Church ‘Select’ range of finishing touches.

“Buyers can benefit from a range of incentives and offers to make moving into their first home or moving up the property ladder more affordable.”

The government’s Help to Buy Scheme, launched by the Chancellor in his budget speech earlier this year, is helping many buyers purchase a new home. Customers are able to secure their purchase with a deposit of just five per cent. This is then combined with an equity loan from the Government which is interest free for the first five years, equating to 20 per cent of the property’s value. A mortgage is then secured on the remaining 75 per cent meaning lower mortgage repayments in the first stages of the loan.

The scheme is open to both first time buyers and existing home owners and is available on properties worth up to £600,000.

Charles Church’s Home Change scheme can also assist buyers with an existing property to sell. Sharon adds: “Home Change is an excellent scheme that can help buyers to make their next move more quickly. Under the scheme Charles Church sales advisors take the hassle out of selling the buyer’s property leaving them free to concentrate on moving into their new home. They will arrange valuations, agree a price and then market the property. There are no estate agent fees or headaches - everything is taken care of.

Imperium Gate is just 17 miles from the coast and enjoys excellent transport links being located on the A29 and close to its intersection with the A272. Regular rail services are available from Billingshurst station, which is just over a mile away.

Concluding, Sharon said: “This is a fabulous development and we want to make sure that buyers find moving here as easy as possible. With the comprehensive set of schemes we now offer, it really never has been easier to buy the home of your dreams.”
