As consumer confidence in the housing market grows and more people think about moving, Redrow is helping homeowners sell up and move on.

More than half of those who have bought a new home at Becket Manor in Deanshanger have used the developer’s Mastermove service. The incentive is designed to help homeowners sell up quickly, with the minimum of fuss and hopefully achieve full market value for the house they’re moving from.

Helen McGill, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “Deanshanger offers village living at its best as there’s a good range of local amenities, a thriving sense of community and strong commuter links. The location, the traditional appeal of our homes and their high specification means that buyers are keen to move to Becket Manor. Those with a house to sell have been interested to learn how we can help them secure a buyer with our Mastermove scheme.

“So far, five of the nine people who have reserved a home at Becket Manor have done so in this way. They’ve been delighted to have the reassurance of knowing that with a small deposit we will take the home they want to buy off the market while we work with a local agent to sell their existing property quickly and at full market value. With more people thinking of moving as the market recovers it’s a great way for both downsizers and upsizers to sell up and move on.”

Redrow will arrange to have the customer’s property valued and agree a selling price with them. Then they will liaise with a local estate agents to market the property on the customer’s behalf, keeping in regular contact with all parties to ensure that everything possible is being done to sell the property quickly. Redrow will even pay the estate agent’s fees on completion and refund the small deposit paid to use the scheme.

“It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved,” Helen said.

The four and five-bedroom homes at Becket Manor, on Stratford Road, are in keeping with existing properties in the village. And while they look traditional from the outside, inside they are bright and modern with a high specification as standard.

Kitchens are well equipped with integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage; while bathrooms and en-suites enjoy quality fixtures and fittings.

Built in energy efficiency measures mean that those who move from old to new should save money on their fuel bills.

Current prices at Becket Manor start from £283,950 for a four-bedroom detached Welland style home with en-suite shower room, downstairs cloakroom and a lovely open plan kitchen /dining room with patio doors onto the garden.

With a choice of schools nearby, the development is ideal for buyers with children.

In the centre of the village there are plenty of shops to cater for residents’ needs; while the amenities of Milton Keynes are only eight miles away and trains from nearby Wolverton can whisk passengers to London in around an hour, including driving to the station.
