Part exchange your way to a New Year, new home

17th January 2014 Print

Prospective buyers waiting for the sale of their property are being encouraged to act now to make their dream of a ‘new year, new home’ a reality.

Persimmon Homes aims to take some of the hassle out of moving house for Essex customers who opt for one of their part exchange schemes.

Norman Sharpe, sales director at Persimmon Homes Essex, explains how buying a new home can help to sell an existing one: “The new year often sparks a desire for a fresh start in a new home. There are lots of incentives for first time buyers, but we find that further up the chain people are desperate to move but may feel ‘stuck’ or unable to move from their existing property.

“We have two schemes available to assist people in this situation; Home Change and Part Exchange.

“With Home Change, we use all of our expertise and contacts to help you sell your current property. We arrange valuations, agree a price and then market the property on your behalf. There are no estate agent fees or headaches – everything is taken care of.

“For those qualifying for the Persimmon Homes Part Exchange scheme, things couldn’t be more straightforward. We will arrange for at least two valuations, agree a market price with you and, on receipt of an acceptable survey report, buy your existing property.

“There are no hidden marketing costs and no chains to break down, helping to make your move faster and smoother.”
With a range of two, three, four and five bedroom properties in Aveley, Chelmsford, Colchester, Grays, Romford, Saffron Walden, South Ockendon and Elsenham there is something to suit everyone from young professionals to couples and growing families alike.

As well as part exchange schemes Persimmon Homes also offer Help to Buy, the Government-backed scheme where only a 5% deposit is needed, which can be used in conjunction with Home Change.

Norman adds: “To find out what schemes are available to make the dream of owning a new home a reality, call in to see the sales advisors on your nearest development. They will explain the full terms and conditions of the schemes, help you decide which is best for you, based on your circumstances, and provide advice and support every step of the way.”
